PEIAMRT Fall Meeting
Our Fall Meeting date has yet to be determined. It will most likely be during the first week of November. As soon as a date has been determined, membership will receive an e-mail of the date, time, and location. This is about a week later than usual; however, I will be attending a meeting with the Alliance of Medical Radiation Technologists Regulators of Canada (AMRTRC) in Montreal during the last week of October.
The AMRTRC is hosting a one day seminar on self-regulation for the unregulated provinces. The seminar topics will include what is self-regulation, how to run a regulatory body, and what you need to know and consider. The AMRTRC is also graciously covering the transportation (flight) and accommodation costs (two nights at the hotel) for myself to attend. The other currently unregulated provinces, NFLD, BC and MB, will also be guests attending this seminar. As we move forward towards regulation this opportunity will hopefully provide us with lots of information to which I would like to share the following week at our Fall AGM. If you have any concern, please feel free to contact me.
